Who We Are
The Residential Arm of
Pine Group
The journey began long before ventilation systems. With over 30 years in the building industry, our background started on construction sites as licensed electricians working across residential homes and apartment developments. That hands-on building experience naturally evolved into HVAC electrical contracting, giving us a deeper understanding of how buildings perform — and more importantly, where they fall short.
In 2009, we recognised a growing issue in Australian homes. Homes were being closed up for longer periods due to changing lifestyles, longer work hours, increased security concerns, and the growing use of unflued gas heaters, which introduced additional moisture into the indoor environment. Many houses were becoming stale, damp, and poorly ventilated, leading to declining indoor air quality and condensation-related issues.
Years ago, homes naturally ventilated through the use of fireplaces, which in many ways acted as highly effective ventilation systems by constantly drawing stale air out of the home. As fireplaces became less common due to changing heating methods, fossil fuel concerns, and air quality regulations, that natural ventilation disappeared.
At the same time, homes were progressively becoming more airtight in the pursuit of greater energy efficiency. This shift created a growing need for continuous mechanical ventilation with heat recovery — systems capable of delivering fresh filtered air while maintaining energy efficiency and indoor comfort.
That’s where the Zenith Ventilation journey began. We started sourcing and installing heat recovery ventilation systems for residential homes, helping homeowners and builders create healthier, more comfortable indoor environments without sacrificing energy efficiency. Over time, we also identified the increasing need for whole-home dehumidification solutions, particularly in airtight homes, passive houses, and high-performance residential construction.
Today, Zenith Ventilation specialises in:
- Heat recovery ventilation systems
- Whole-home dehumidification
- Passive house ventilation
- Residential ventilation design
- Builder and developer ventilation solutions
As part of Pine Group, our expertise now extends across residential, commercial, and industrial ventilation and dehumidification projects — but residential ventilation remains at the heart of what we do.
Our Values
What We Believe In
Supply, installation, commissioning and ongoing support — all in one.
-
Education First
We don't expect homeowners to be HVAC experts. We take time to explain what's happening in your home, why a system is recommended, and how it works — so you can make a genuinely informed decision.
-
Long-Term Thinking
We design systems for the life of your home, not just the installation day. That means selecting equipment that's maintainable, specifying correctly for your climate, and always considering ongoing running costs alongside upfront price.
-
Right Fit, Not Upsell
Not every home needs the most expensive system. We spec what your home actually requires — whether that's a standalone HRV, a dehumidifier, or the full combined solution. We'll always explain our reasoning.
- 20+ Years of ventilation expertise via Pine Group

How We Work
Our Process
From first conversation to a comfortable, healthy home — here's what working with Zenith looks like.
Free Consultation
We start with a conversation — about your home, your concerns, your build stage or renovation plans. No obligation, no sales pressure. We'll tell you whether we think a system will help and what it would involve.
Site Assessment & Design
For new builds, we work with your architect or builder. For retrofits, we assess your existing ceiling and wall structure. The system design — duct layout, unit placement, airflow calculations — is done before any quote is finalised.
Detailed Quote
A written quote with a clear scope of work, equipment specifications, and timeline. No line items that don't make sense. We explain every cost and answer every question before you decide.
Installation
Our installation team — not subcontractors — installs your system. We work around your schedule and treat your home with care. All penetrations are sealed, all ducting is insulated, and every room is tested before we leave.
Handover & Ongoing Support
We walk you through your system on handover — how it operates, what the settings do, and when filters need replacing. We're available for questions afterwards, and we offer service visits if anything needs adjusting.
